Afton Chemical to Acquire Aditivos Mexicanos, S.A.
Afton Chemical last Monday announced the entry into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Aditivos Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. for approximately $182.5 million. AMSA is a petroleum additives manufacturing, sales and distribution company based in Mexico City, Mexico.
Swindon, UK-based lubricant data provider OATS announced last week it has been acquired by UK-based automotive technical data provider Haynes Publishing Group P.L.C. for £2.4 million. Sebastian Crawshaw, Chairman, OATS announced he will be retiring. Peter van der Galiën, Managing Director of HaynesPro, will take over the day to day management of OATS.
New Hydrocracker Reactors Arrive at ExxonMobil Rotterdam Refinery
Three brand new reactors for ExxonMobil's new hydrocracker arrived at the Rotterdam, Netherlands, refinery site the week before last. The units will be installed at the refinery site in early 2017. The new hydrocracker will enable ExxonMobil Rotterdam to produce EHC™ Group II base oils in Europe for the first time.
ExxonMobil and Porsche Extend Strategic Relationship
ExxonMobil and Porsche last Tuesday announced a multi-year extension to their global framework agreement that includes factory-fill with Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil of Porsche 911, as well as Cayenne, Panamera, and Macan models. More than one million Porsches have rolled off factory lines filled with Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil.
U.S. Venture, Inc. last Thursday announced the promotion of Bill Renz to general manager for U.S. Gain and U.S. Lubricants, business divisions of U.S. Venture. In addition, Stephanie Wix has been promoted to vice president of sales of U.S. Gain and U.S. Lubricants. She will oversee all aspects of sales in North America.
