On November 2, 2017, CITGO announced it will implement a general finished lubricant price increase of 4% - 8% on branded and private label products effective December 4, 2017. CITGO stated that this increase is driven primarily by escalations in base oil and additive costs that have occurred over the past several months.

Pinnacle Oil announced it will increase its prices on bulk and packaged lubes by 5% to 7% effective November 15, 2017. The company said that disruptions from hurricanes Harvey and Irma pushed up pricing on raw materials and that the supply for high quality base stocks is very tight.

Warren Distribution announced last Tuesday that it will increase the price of all its finished lubricants by 6 to 9% effective November 27, 2017. Warren Distribution attributed the price adjustment to the increased costs of base oils, additives, operation, raw materials and transportation.

Old World Industries announced on October 30, 2017 that it will increase the price on all finished lubricants by up to 8% effective November 13, 2017. Old World attributed the increase to the higher price of raw materials used in the manufacturing and distribution of its products.

Nu-Tier Brands announced on October 27, 2017 a general price increase of up to 6% on all finished lubricants effective November 17, 2017. Nu-Tier attributed the increase to the rising costs associated with raw materials and manufacturing.
