Motiva announced last Thursday it has expanded its STAR base oils portfolio to include Group III premium base oils. Motiva’s Group III base oil products, STAR HVI 4 and STAR HVI 6, are manufactured and shipped from the Port Arthur Refinery.

ExxonMobil to Merge Refining and Marketing Divisions, Names Milton President
ExxonMobil announced last Friday it will combine its Refining and Supply Company and its Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Company into a single company, ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants Company, in the first quarter of 2018. Bryan Milton has been appointed president of the combined division, effective January 1, 2018.
ExxonMobil Selects BLS Syn as Its New Authorized Distributor for Synthetic Base Stocks in Korea
ExxonMobil Chemical has appointed authorized distributor BLS Syn Inc. to solely represent and market its Group IV and Group V synthetics base stock portfolio in Korea commencing January 1, 2018.
Asian Lubricant Manufacturers Union Officially Launched
The Asian Lubricant Manufacturers Union officially launched last Friday December 1, 2017 in Singapore. The brand-new trade association will serve the all-important Asian lubricant market and has appointed Enterprise Promotion Centres Pte Ltd, headed by Jan Tan, as Association Manager.
