Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited, a Hinduja Group company, last Wednesday inked an agreement with Indian motorcycle OEM Bajaj Auto Limited, the second largest manufacturer of motorcycles in India and third largest in the world, to manufacture engine oil for Bajaj motorcycles.

Gulf Oil will manufacture Bajaj Genuine Oil in the SAE 10W-30 viscosity grade (for bikes up to 100 cc) and the SAE 20W-50 (for bikes above 100 cc). These motorcycle oils can be used in the CT, Platina, Discover, Pulsar, Avenger and V models of Bajaj Auto.

Under this agreement, Gulf Oil will manufacture Bajaj Genuine Oil at their manufacturing facility and distribute these lubricants through Bajaj Auto's dealer network, Gulf Oil Lubricants said.

Pune, Mumbai-based Bajaj Auto Limited is an Indian two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing company. Bajaj Auto manufactures and sells motorcycles, scooters and auto rickshaws. Bajaj Auto, part of the Bajaj Group, was founded by Jamnalal Bajaj in Rajasthan in the 1940s.

On May 2015, its market capitalisation was INR 640 billion (US$9.5 billion).
