Martin Midstream Partners to Acquire Assets of NL Grease

Martin Midstream Partners L.P. announced last Friday that its subsidiary, Martin Operating Partnership L.P., has entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets and inventory of Kansas City, Missouri based NL Grease, LLC, a grease manufacturer that specializes in private-label packaging of commercial and industrial greases.

Chevron in Advanced Talks to Sell Its Downstream Assets in Egypt and Pakistan

Chevron is conducting a review of its fuels operations in Egypt and Pakistan, which includes its shareholding in Pakistan Refinery Ltd, as well as fuels marketing, in Egypt and Pakistan, but the company’s lubricants business is not a part of this review. Chevron stated that no decision had yet been made to sell any assets.

Oxea Delivers First Carboxylic Acids Produced at Its New Plant

Oxea last Wednesday announced that it successfully commenced operations at its new state-of-the-art plant for the production of carboxylic acids in Oberhausen, Germany. This new facility will boost Oxea’s global carboxylic acid production capacity by around 40 percent. Carboxylic acids are used in the manufacture of products such as energy-efficient lubricants.
