Calumet last Thursday reported much improved results for the third quarter 2017 compared to the third quarter 2016. Calumet was scheduled to report its third quarter financial results on November 10, but announced that it will file a notification of late filing with the SEC.
Auto OEMs and Oil Companies to Develop Hydrogen Recharging Station Network in Japan
Toyota, Nissan, Honda, JXTG Nippon Oil, Idemitsu Kosan and others, 11 in all, have signed an agreement to form a new company in Japan in the spring of 2018 aimed at the full-fledged development of hydrogen recharging stations for fuel cell vehicles.
Shell Petroleum Company Limited (UK) announced on December 21 that it has signed an agreement to buy 100% of First Utility, a leading independent UK household energy and broadband provider. The deal is subject to regulatory and other approvals and is expected to complete in early 2018.
California Air Resources Board Approves a Plan to Accelerate Reduction of Emissions
The California Air Resources Board has approved a bold plan to accelerate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions over the coming decade. The plan includes programs to incentivize the sale of millions of zero-emission vehicles and drive the deployment of zero-emission trucks.
Lubrizol, Afton Chemical and Infineum have announced additive price increases. Lubrizol did not state a specific amount. Infineum stated that most of its additive products would increase by 5 to 8%, while Afton Chemical announced that it will increase the price on the majority of its performance additives by 5 to 7%.
