Kline Appoints Two New Directors to its Energy and Chemicals Management Consulting Teams

Kline, last Tuesday, announced recent additions to the company’s executive team. Annie Jarquin has been appointed as Director in the Energy Practice and Hardeep Parmar as Director in the Chemicals Practice of Kline’s Management Consulting business.

Annie Jarquin, prior to joining Kline, ran the global lubricants and greases benchmarking and analysis project at Malik PIMS. Working with numerous global, national, and independent lubricant companies, Jarquin advised on various operations improvement and cost reduction issues. She is also an experienced speaker and member of the Advisory Board for the Tribology Program at Auburn University in Alabama.

Early in her career, Jarquin worked as a process engineer, where she focused on optimizing energy production from wastewater biodegradation and wastewater treatment process design. She has a B.Eng with honors in Chemical and Process Engineering, and a B.Sc in Chemistry, both from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Jarquin has joined Kline’s London office, where she will be focusing on new business development and project management, working closely with Yana Wilkinson.

“We’re delighted to have Annie join the leadership team of Kline’s Energy Practice,” noted Ian Moncrieff, Vice President and leader of the firm’s Energy Practice. “Her experience and connections in the lubricants and related industries will enable us to broaden and deepen our range of leading products and services to clients concerned with improving the efficiency of their downstream supply chains.”

Reinforcing Kline’s credentials within the chemicals industry, Hardeep Parmar, who has also joined our London office, brings invaluable experience of the Petrochemicals and chemical industry accrued at consultancies including Nexant, Jacobs Consultancy, and Arthur D. Little, UK. Parmar was responsible for providing commercial insights and recommendations to support corporate clients developing investment strategies to support expansions and enter new markets.

Parmar delivered projects which included strategic vision workshops to support the development of strategic business plans and consulting services advising institutional investors of world-scale projects in the Middle East and Africa, as well as transactional advisory services delivering technical and commercial due diligence projects for the intermediate and specialty chemical segment, among others. She also provided market research and commercial advisory services to investors in specialty chemicals and the renewable energy industry including solar, biofuels, and “green” chemicals.

Parmar has a B.Eng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering with Management from Bradford University and an Executive MBA from Imperial College Business School.

“Hardeep joins Kline after a multi-faceted career with strong experience across chemicals, power, renewables, and oil and gas sectors. We are pleased to have her join our chemicals practice to expand our proprietary consulting services to serve our clients in such areas as business strategy, investment decision support and M&A, and in market, business and technology evaluations,” said Dilip Chandwani, Senior Vice President, Process Industries & Manufacturing Competitiveness.

“Kline continues to invest in people who have the talent and expertise to make our clients successful in their endeavors. Annie and Hardeep are accomplished professionals and excellent individuals who will certainly strengthen our consulting team and the value we bring to the marketplace,” commented Joe Tarantola, Chairman and CEO of Kline.
