Cummins Updates Lists of Registered CES Oils

After restarting its Oil Registration process for CES 20074, CES 20075, CES 20076, CES 20077, CES 20078, CES 20081 and CES 20085, Cummins late last year issued its initial lists of registered motor oils meeting these Cummins Engineering Standards. Cummins has since revised these lists, adding significantly more oils to the lists.

New Cummins CES 20086 and CES 20087 Coming

Inline with the forthcoming API CK-4 and API FA-4 diesel engine categories, Cummins is developing two new standards, CES 20086 (for CK-4 oils) and CES 20087 (for FA-4 oils). Cummins plans to publish its CES 20086 and CES 20087 standards in the next month and begin the oil registration process shortly after publication.

Vertex to Market ADNOC's Group III Base Oils in U.S.

Vertex Energy announced last Tuesday that it has agreed with Netherlands-based Penthol C.V. to act as Penthol’s exclusive agent in the U.S. to market Group III base oil from ADNOC's new base oil plant in Ruwais, UAE. Penthol C.V., which is ADNOC’s distributor, will export the oils to the U.S.

KenolKobil, Castrol to Build Lube Blending Plant in Mombasa

Nairobi, Kenya-based KenolKobil announced last Tuesday it plans to construct a 1,000 tons per year lubricants blending plant in Mombasa jointly with BP South Africa. KenolKobil said construction is expected to begin by mid-2017 and will cost the two partners between US$10 million and $15 million.
