Eaton Revises Roadranger Approved Lubricants List

Eaton has revised its Roadranger Products Approved Lubricants List (TCMT0020), adding the Dana Drive Axle Specification SHAES 429 (Vocational) with a 3 yr/180,000 miles drain interval for extended drain along with 13 suppliers to this SHAES 429 list, and adding some US and Canadian lubricants/suppliers to the general list. This Approved Lubricants List contains transmission and drive axle lubricants approved by Eaton and Dana for use with the Roadranger Extended Warranties.

OOIDA Takes Stand Against EPA 2010 Emission Deadline for Heavy-Duty Engines

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association is calling on the federal government to rethink the looming deadline for the rollout of the 2010 emission standard for heavy-duty engines. Since the Environmental Protection Agency started ratcheting down emission standards on heavy-duty engines, the pre-buy phenomena has been something the truck makers could pretty much bank on. That is until 2009 and 2010.

Lubrizol Launches Web Site to Share Dual Clutch Transmission Knowledge

Lubrizol has launched a new Web site that provides the latest news and information on the advancements of dual clutch transmission technology. The DCTfacts.com site also discusses the fluid implications to support this new transmission technology. The site includes news and information from around the globe, including insights from automotive and transmission manufacturers. Dual clutch technology is expected to account for 12 percent of the European market by 2010.
